A day in the life of...Amie Buckle

In the first of our day in the life series, Amie Buckle, our newest member of the team talks all about her new role and the positive impact it’s already starting to have on customers and those new to NYES.

About Amie:

Amie has joined us from a large commercial organisation where she was responsible for supporting businesses of all sizes to meet their organisational needs. She has a degree in Psychology and loves walking with her dogs and taking some time out to relax and read a good book. She doesn’t like shopping!

The role:

Amie has joined the NYES team as a Sales Support Advisor. This is a new role created to ensure that we are able to offer our existing and new customers the exact services to meet their needs and support them with meeting their outcomes. She works with our Sales, Retention and Business Support teams to ensure schools and settings have the information they need to help them pick a service that’s right for them.

A day in the life:

My day is different each and every day and I love it! I’ve learned so much so far and can’t wait to see how the role continues to develop!

I start the day by taking a look at what the rest of the team is working on to see if there is any support they need from me. I might work with them to support the delivery of our specialist briefings across the North or help them by providing a range of information about what is impacting on current customers.

Then I’ll talk to customers who are looking for support through the delivery of our services, discussing their needs and suggesting which services will best work for them. It’s great to know that what you’re doing is really helping schools to make sure they can provide the best levels of education for their pupils and really make a positive impact on learning outcomes.

After lunch – a daily celebration within the central NYES office – I will conduct some market research, looking at the new areas we are supporting and finding out what services they need to help them achieve the best outcomes for their pupils – this can be through chats on the phone or through a face to face meeting.

I love the variety that the role brings and knowing that every day I get the chance to communicate with a wide a range of people from so many different backgrounds but all with the same aim. It’s so fulfilling to get to know and understand people and help them with what they are looking to achieve.

Finally, I’ll finish with a quick catch up with the team before heading home for a long stroll with my dogs and look forward to the next day!
