Stacey leads NYES as its Commercial Director. Prior to this, she has worked in the private, public and third sector, leading commercial and entrepreneurial ventures that benefit local people and places rather than shareholders. This includes many initiatives within the tourism and social care sectors as well as Stirling and Clackmannanshire’s City Region Deal, which resulted in hundreds of millions of pounds of investment from Government, private sector and third sector organisations.
Alongside other responsibilities, Stacey has been a Director of Children’s Services in Scotland. She has also worked in Higher Education as a lecturer and one of her first jobs was in as nursery many years ago. Stacey is also a trained teacher and passionately believes that great education is a must for all. No matter where people start in life, they should be able to reach their potential, and outstanding schools have a key role to play in this.
Stacey has also worked in sensitive, highly complex and rapidly changing environments. Part of her background includes living and working in riot zones, combating gender and ethnic violence.
