NYES acquires specialist schools HR service

North Yorkshire Education Service (NYES) continues its growth across the UK in the education sector as it completes the acquisition of a dedicated schools HR service.

NYES is the trading arm of North Yorkshire County Council, providing a wide range of council services developed specifically for the education market, including facilities management, professional services and education and learning support.

Surplus income generated by NYES is reinvested in the community to support front-line services provided by the County Council.

The acquisition of HC Associates provides an opportunity for NYES to increase its revenue, as it will see the transfer of a wide range of clients across Hull, the East Riding and the South East. This adds to the current HR portfolio of more than 430 schools in the North of England and supports NYES’ continued expansion.

NYES Director Harry Rashid said: “The acquisition of HC Associates is a really exciting development. It provides us with an extremely strong customer base that we are looking forward to supporting with the provision of an outstanding HR service.

“This growth is vital for us as we strive to develop our business across the UK and ensure all schools and settings have access to the highest quality services to help them achieve the best outcomes for pupils, all within an ethos of providing best value to all our schools.”

Helen Cooper of HC Associates added: “This is a great opportunity for our customers to continue to receive first class HR support while at the same time being able to access a wide range of other specialist services for schools.

“It has been difficult to find an alternative supplier for our customers, but I believe we have found a provider who has a solid knowledge base in education HR within NYES’ established team of experienced education HR professionals. We look forward to working with NYES and seeing continued success for all of our customers.”
